Charlaine Avery is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Masters degree from Simon Fraser University. She has 15 plus years counselling experience working with individuals, couples and families. She can help you figure out what's getting in the way of you having a happy, healthy and balanced life with satisfying relationships. Her goal is to provide you with thoughtful caring when you need it.

Charlaine uses collaborative, solution-focused and experiential approaches to assisting clients understand what's going on, define issues, find their strengths to reach their goals and make lasting changes. She uses practical, short-term approaches that help you integrate mind, body and spirit. She has post-graduate training in EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural, Trauma Incident Reduction and Solution-Focused therapies. She is a qualified meditation instructor.

Charlaine has extensive experience working with addictions, anger, anxiety, communication, depression, grief and loss, health, life transitions, parenting and step-parenting, separation and divorce, stress and trauma related to work, emotional, sexual or physical abuse.
