Barbara has over 30 years of experience in the field of human services, clinical practice, and more recently account management with an EAP provider.

She holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria and an advanced Bachelor’s degree in Sociology/Communications from the Universities of Saskatchewan and York.

Barbara’s professional experience includes: therapist, consultant, adult educator, and facilitator/trainer in the public and private sectors.

The models of counselling Barbara uses are: Cognitive Behavioural therapy which is based upon how a person's thinking determines how he/she feels and behaves. This model works well for people suffering from depression; and Brief-Solution focused therapy which identifies specific areas of concern and targets solutions in a results-oriented way.

Her unique style provides a richness of experience and practical solutions for her clients. She is knowledgeable, creative, results-oriented and supportive.
